Restylish: What does it take to get to the top of the tree?

Coolroy: I wouldn’t know… I’d rather be under it anyway. To catch the fruit when it falls, and enjoy the shade while I eat.

Restylish: What inspires you?
Coolroy: People. “The Struggle.” Movies. Nature. History. Movement. …. Life.
Restylish: Music….?
Coolroy:
If music be the food of love, play on. – Shakespeare

Restylish: Do you listen to your own music?

Coolroy: I used to hate it! But for the last 3 months… it’s all I’ve listened to.
Restylish: What is your favorite line/quote?
Coolroy: Too many to name… but the one thats been on my mind a lot lately is…

A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world. – Oscar Wilde

Restylish: What is your mind set on when you wake up?
Coolroy: I dont sleep… so I don’t really wake up … but my mindset is always to KEEP MOVING!
Restylish: How do you like to end your day?
Coolroy: Mary,Jack&Coke and Billie Holiday
Restylish: What projects are you working on now/next?
Coolroy: “The Cold Hearted and Young” — I think … I’m never too sure about what I’m working on… my mind is all over the place and I get over ideas quickly… but I’m pretty sure thats the name of the next project… I won’t go into details… but I’m treating it as if it were a movie. Every song will be related … subtly of course.
Restylish: If you stranded on an island what are the three things that’d you take with you?
Coolroy: Food, my daughter… and whatever she wanted.
Restylish: What drives you to accomplish your goals?
Coolroy: Up until my daughter was born… i didn’t have anything pushing me. I figured.. “shit, I’m alive… I might as well do something while I’m here” … Now everything I do is for her…
Restylish: Love or money?
Coolroy: Love.
Restylish: Can you multitask?
Coolroy: Hell No. I have ADD… really.
Restylish: Is there an artist you want to work with that you have not yet had the opportunity to work with?
Coolroy: I really want to work with Kid Cudi.

Restylish: What’s your favorite thing to do in morning?

Coolroy: Watch the streets fill up with traffic while I drink my coffee and smoke my cigarette. It’s a very depressing, yet motivating experience.

Cold World

“At times this shit is all blurry, pray and hope that God heard me…
Just for those prayin’ for me, man I know that y’all worry,
But I ain’t never failed and you can bet I never will.”

My fears and doubts have vanished like mist into the distance, never to disturb me again.

What frightens us most is the thought of being afraid. That is the greatest fear. Nothing puts us in more danger than our own mind and when what we are frightened of actually happens, it is never as bad as we imagined. There is no protection against fear. Even when we think that we have found some safety, we still wonder if our defenses are reliable and this uncertainty destroys our security. We create fear and we can uncreate it. It is a habit that can be broken. A good remedy against fear is to actively provoke it. Instead of feeling helpless we confront our worst fear. If you are frightened of losing something, give it away. If heights scare you, climb to a high place. If you are terrified of speaking in public, stand before an audience. This is the simplest way of mastering fear.

Restylish: What does it take to get to the top of the tree?

Aaron Costa: I’d have to say it all comes down to Preparation, Hard Work & Learning from failure. Plus the motivation has to be strong and you always gotta be thirsty for more like its never ending. As the motto goes with Birth of Heroes Clothing “Global Thoughts & Space Dreams”.

Aaron Costa:  Preferably a Chauffer, a Rolls-Royce Ghost & hopefully still in Toronto i love the city. But in all seriousness i see myself still doing what I’m doing now providing the world with something different to wear in the morning/evening & even bed, I also see the brand on a few runways.

Restylish: Can you Muti-Task?

Aaron Costa: Sometimes, Its more by choice at that moment and time. haha.

Restylish: Do you have a muse?

Aaron Costa: I’d say seeing how the top designers and brand owners live, that motivates me.

Restylish: What do you think about the way most people dress?

Aaron Costa: Now a days there is so much diversity in everyones fashion sense, I’ve noticed people don’t really stick to one style any  more it just seems that its however they feel that day when they wake up will determine the way they will dress. Just have to respect it all and try to understand it, because what you could possibly think is ugly at that moment in time could end up being the next big thing.

Restylish: Is there a brand you want to collaborate with?

Aaron Costa: Crooks & Castle, Hundreds, Mastermind Japan, Diamond Supply, Undefeated, Undercover, WTAPS, Native & Penfield. Theres more but those are the main ones.
